H20 Improves Odds of Surviving Heart Attack

Recently Released Statistics Reveal Heart Health Organization of East Valley is Improving Patient Outcomes and Satisfaction in an Efficient and Cost Effective Manner

Gilbert, AZ – Patients suffering from heart attacks in the East Valley are in good hands, recent data shows. Several heart doctors with practices around Mercy Gilbert Medical Center and Chandler Regional Medical Center have joined together to form Heart Health Organization of East Valley (H2O) in order to improve service to heart patients at the two hospitals. For those patients presenting in the Chandler Regional Medical Center or at Mercy Gilbert Medical Center with a heart attack or cardiac failure, recent reports reflect that 100% of these patients are treated with coronary angioplasty in the catheterization lab within 65 minutes of arrival, which is much improved against the Medicare goal of being treated within 90 minutes.

That is only one of the phenomenal statistics that this group of doctors is able to report. Other recent statistics regarding heart care include shorter hospitals stays than the national average, 94% satisfaction rate for cardiac care, fewer incidence of re-operating. Data like this not only bolsters the probability of increased survivability, but addresses quality of health as well. For a more comprehensive list of the services that show improvement, you can visit the group’s website at www.hearthealthaz.org. The website also includes articles written by the doctors on various heart related topics, as well as resources for a healthy heart and links to clinical trials their patients can join.

The Heart Health Organization (H2O) is a partnership of more than 30 cardiovascular specialists representing 15 separate practices. Considered leaders in their areas of expertise, they formed an alliance in March 2013 with the mission to “provide first class service for hospital-based Cardiovascular Services. The purpose of H2O is to enhance quality, patient satisfaction, and improve patient outcomes in an efficient and cost effective care delivery process. Our goal is to outperform National benchmarks in cardiovascular care and create regional recognition by providers and payors as a preferred provider.”
